Eureka Moments!
Eureka Moments!
The UT/ILP Investment Sales Master Class is currently being conducted for PFPFA at their wonderful office in Suntec City.
Many of the FA attending are having Eureka moments. Yesterday, Patrick Teo developed a beautiful analogy comparing investing to waking your dog. Your dog, like markets has a mind of its own. If you take your dog for a short walk it might feel excited or stressed after the brief outing. Long walks with your dog on the other hand, are better for both owner and the pet as both are more peaceful and settled afterwards. Similarly, Investing for the long-term also works better as your chances of achieving positive returns increase with time.
Another advisor, Winnie Yeo had a powerful realization, when she understood that in investing we are targeting an average long-term return, but a range of outcomes are possible. We show advisors 17 years’ worth of long term returns so they are better prepared to handle markets.
The experienced advisor Sharon Ong was already advising her customers to invest for 10 years (the long-term). We’ve provided her with the evidence to further reinforce her already strong understanding of investments.
These are just a few of the wonderful Eureka moments which happen when we conduct the UT/ILP Investment Sales Master Class.
