It was in August 2023 that Pearly Yeo, shared how the charts used in the New Light UT/ILP Investment Sales Master Class could be used to explain the role of a financial advisor in the investment journey. The occasion was the delivery of the Master Class to a combined team from Pacesetters Organisation, ARCH & RTG team (representing Prudential Assurance Company Singapore).

The advisor in the spotlight was Pearly Yeo. What did Pearly say ?

Pearly calculated the dollar value of the highest and lowest returns generated by the Straits Times Index for different holding periods and shared that the advisors role was to navigate between these possible outcomes to generate a reasonable rate of return. She also used the analogy of a rose having thorns to highlight a customers deepest fear – of losing money

For her clarity in enunciating the role of the financial advisor in the area of investments and thereby contributing to the knowledge of financial planning, Peary Yeo is awarded the title of Champion of the Master Class.

This explanation has since been incorporated into the UT/ILP Investment Sales Master Class and the UT /ILP Master Class Refresher. All advisors attending these programmes will benefit from Pearly’s sharing and we are grateful to her for this.
